I finished my last exam for semester one and panicked when I saw the note stating to allow five days or more for my final grade. I mean, five whole days? Don’t they realize that I am a ball of nerves over here? I tried to remind myself that I did the best that I could and the time would pass quickly. Ok, so I was trying to lie to myself that the time would go by quickly. At work, I explained to my coworkers that I did not think I would get a good grade, but somehow my manager knew I was wrong about this prophecy. My grade arrived within two days, but two days of nervous waiting can sure do damage to a girl’s nails.
I kept replaying all the possible scenarios in my mind, well two really, since one would be pass and the other would start all over again. When I opened my student portal to see that I had passed with a 91% grade, I let out a deep breath that I think I must have held for that whole time. I will admit that anatomy and physiology have been very challenging and very rewarding for me. So now here I go headfirst into my next semester, excited for this journey to continue, and a little sad for my poor nails.
